Summer is a great time to be outside, and practising yoga in the sunshine (or at least in a slightly warmer clime) is so much more enriching. Both children and adults can take advantage of these brighter, warmer days and head out to a FREE taster yoga class in Croydon.
Yoga postures are all interlinked with nature, inspired by animals and the world around us. The summer taster yoga sessions in Croydon in June, July & August are an opportunity to get a feel for what yoga is all about. Taster classes will explore yoga postures as well as breathing and relaxation techniques, all in natural surroundings.
For younger children, yoga games and our best animal impressions, with sound effects too, are a fun-filled way to introduce the benefits of yoga for kids. Older children can participate in a flowing sun salutation with a couple of challenging poses to peak their curiosity, while family yoga sessions allow people to connect through yoga and in nature, with partner poses like the pond frogs, and a family tree.
And for adults, the benefits of doing yoga in nature really can evoke a sense of harmony and a connectedness with the universe we all live in. Just take a moment to imagine the scene … your senses begin to awaken as you breathe in fresh air, you feel the sun’s rays warm your muscles, maybe a cool breeze touching the skin and you can hear the melody of nature’s creatures serenading you as you allow your surroundings to be a part of your yoga practice. Pure bliss!
So, if you fancy a taste of summer yoga, come and join a yoga class in the green spaces of Croydon. Sessions are inspired by nature, and all about having fun while staying fit ‘n’ healthy. Bring a friend or family member for double the fun!
