Standing strong by the notion that ‘Yoga is for everyone’, I teach yoga to people of all ages, with a good dose of kind-hearted spirit. Incorporating a playful mixture of challenging movements and postures, combined with super-soothing relaxation techniques, make for a truly refreshing class.
Training initially in India in 2009 in the Sivananda style, I have since completed specialist training in Children’s yoga in 2010 with Jo Manuel of The Special Yoga Centre and in Pregnancy yoga in 2012 with Francoise Freedman of Birthlight. My good friend and mentor, Rozy Kalliabetsos has guided me through the Anusara principles of alignment over the last few years, and has ensured that I continue to think, question and learn, on my yoga journey. In 2016 I gained my Anusara Yoga certification, following a 100hr training programme with Bridget Woods-Kramer.
I have a special interest in the anatomy of the body and yoga therapy, exploring movements and ways to release tension to alleviate specific ailments. I often work with adults and children with learning developmental needs and disabilities to bring the benefits of an aligned, safe and fun yoga practice.
Fully CRB checked and trained in first aid.
I have been passionate about yoga since my early twenties, but when my health suffered due to work-related stress as a magazine journalist, I looked to alternative methods of relaxation, where massage and yoga became my ‘best buddies’.
Trained also in Swedish Massage, Stone Therapy Massage and currently training in Pregnancy Massage, I offer clients the opportunity and the techniques to surrender, let go, release … to completely relax both body and mind.
